As a member of the behavioral economics research team, you will conduct research to understand the psychology behind financial decisions and apply the knowledge to help millions of people make better choices when it comes to their wealth, health, and happiness.

For this position, you will apply mixed- research methods to bring an understanding of the people who use the company's products and gleaning insights to drive product direction and strategy.

You will support multiple NIH-funded projects in the labs of Dr. Pearl Chiu (lab information) and Dr. Brooks King-Casas (lab information) at the Fralin Biomedical Research Institute at Virginia Tech Carilion in Roanoke, Virginia.

You will identify opportunities for personalization using behavioral user research and machine learning techniques. Develop new algorithmic recommendation strategies based on this research and turn models into data products, collaborate with engineering teams and integrate into processes throughout The Times.

As a Social Science Research Analyst, you will serve as a technical analyst on the development and evaluation of CMS's digital quality measurement strategy.

You will analyze how users are engaging with podcast content, define measures of success, identify trends, and make data-driven recommendations that enable the Studios organization to deliver content that delights our users. This role will have a particular emphasis on understanding the distribution of content within the product, and will work closely with the Podcast Editorial team in support of their curation efforts!

The Behavioral Scientist will promote the scientific integrity of the Torch platform. You will develop tools grounded in contemporary psychological science, and with a high degree of validity and reliability. You will also consult with C-suite executives at enterprise level organizations to develop custom solutions around their internal developmental models, and will work with internal stakeholders to adapt the torch platform to their needs on a case by case basis.

The Senior Behavioral Economics Professional work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

You will be responsible for daily operations and service delivery to HBS researchers, by (i) developing and implementing, in partnership with the Associate Director, a departmental strategy to ensure that HBS faculty’s evolving behavioral research needs are fully met, (ii) managing the BeLab team (currently one Coordinator and a group of part-time undergraduate lab assistants) and the delivery of core in-house laboratory and data collection services, and (iii) providing methodological expertise and executing project work, as an individual contributor, for behavioral research projects run by HBS faculty.
