Through this position you will conduct and apply the best behavioral and social science research towards improving people’s lives, with a special emphasis on the disadvantaged

Research Assistant will support PEW in its research about the social impact of the internet and technology. You will work primarily with surveys and survey data and creating reports from that material to provide insights about the emergent social and political activities that occur on social media and in other text- and voice-based interfaces.

You will use mixed methods to study and understand user behaviour, evaluate potential of product initiatives, guide plans and generate ideas. The goal is to inform every decision we make with just the right relevant evidence, metrics, insights and data. The team you will lead will be composed of user researchers, behavioral scientists, data scientists and other kinds of researchers as needed.

You will apply social and behavioral science theories and design and interpret experiments to understand user habits and behavior; working closely with Product, Engineering and Design to craft and apply behavioral insights that address user needs. Your will impact consumers across the user journey, and provide critical input when developing compelling, user relevant offerings and experiences.

The Scientist will provide technical and scientific support to teams across the Nature Conservancy as a subject matter professional on economic and social issues related to environmental conservation.

As a member of the CommodityFX Analytics team, you’ll work with McKinsey’s agricultural analytics team (ACRE), McKinsey’s Risk Practice, and client service teams that support clients across sectors and geographies.
